Located just a few blocks from the Frankfurt Hbf. (main train station), Roomers Hotel is a sleek, modern and very comfortable place to explore Frankfurt and easily jump on the train to the airport to catch your flight.
When I visit Germany I always end my trip in Frankfurt, with Air Canada and Lufthansa both having direct flights from Frankfurt to Vancouver, making it easy to get home with no layovers.
I will book a night or two in Frankfurt, giving myself time to do any last minute shopping as well as relax after what is often a whirlwind of excursions, events and photographing.
Hospitality
The staff at Roomers were genuinely welcoming and happy, I got the feeling they enjoyed their work and really wanted to welcome me to the hotel. At check-in I received a glass of bubbly, I’m not sure if this had something to do with my booking or if that’s just standard practice for here. Either way, I appreciated both the gesture and the drink.
Style
When I arrived in my room I was welcomed by a small, but thoughtfully arranged room with modern touches, high-quality materials and comfortable surfaces.
A large desk with power provided a great place to work on my laptop and throw my things down while I was in the room. The art on the walls was bold but somehow calming.
The darker colour palette of the decor lent itself to a more masculine feel, which I enjoyed.
The sleek style continues in all the common spaces inside and out. From the outdoor patio to the expansive high-end restaurant.
Pros:
- Proximity to the main train station makes getting to the airport easy as well as provides late-night bites in a pinch.
- Impeccable service and hospitality.
Cons:
- The city of Frankfurt is a bit dirty and can be unwelcoming.
